Penerbit USM Tops The List of Winners

Kuala Lumpur, 11 Disember 2013 – Penerbit USM once again tops the list of winners as the winner of Anugerah Perdana in the Public University Press category. YB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Minister of Internal Affairs, presented the award to Profesor Dato’ Dr Omar Osman, Vice Canselor of Universiti Sains Malaysia in the National Book Award 2013 ceremony held in Dewan Tun Hussein Onn, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur.

In another ceremony, two of Penerbit USM titles garnered the Book Industry Award for Best General Book in the Architecture Category and Old Manuscript Study Category. The books are Architecture and Heritage Building in George Town Penang by Ahmad Sanusi Hasan and Shaiful Rizal Che Yahaya (Architecture Category), and Cam-Melayu Abad Ke-19: Pemberontakan dan Diaspora by Mohamad Zain Musa (Old Manuscript Study Category). The awards were presented by YB Datuk Dr. Abu Bakar bin Mohamad Diah, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation during the National Book Award 2013 ceremony held in conjunction with Malaysia Book Expo 2013 and International book Conference in PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.
